The Lowy Institute is seeking a high-performing researcher specialising to conduct research on the major strategic, economic and political developments in Southeast Asia. The Institute is particularly interested in candidates with the relevant expertise and language skills to pursue a focus on Indonesian politics and foreign policy, but we will consider candidates with other Southeast Asian research specialties.

Candidates should be dynamic and self-starting individuals with excellent analytical and communications skills and confident presentation. They will be articulate English speakers with strong experience in media commentary. The successful candidate will join the organisation for a period of twelve months at a level commensurate with experience, and with salary and benefits set accordingly.
